VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA-(Marketwire – September 19, 2013) - Passport Potash, Inc. (“Passport” or the “Company”) (TSX.V: PPI)(OTCQX: PPRTF) is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Bill Allred, as an independent director, to the Company’s Board of Directors, effective September 12, 2013. Mr. Allred will serve on the audit committee, and brings a wealth of financial expertise to the Board from his 50 years of experience as a CPA.
Mr. Allred worked for 10 years with Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young), one of the international “Big 4” accounting firms where he served as audit manager and was responsible for directing concurrent audits of large multi-national corporations. He has also worked with several public mining and exploration companies, where he developed accounting systems and procedures, including internal control policies for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. He served as a director of American Energy Fields, Inc. and
as a director of Continental Resources Group, Inc.
Mr. Allred also served as Deputy Auditor General for the State of Arizona, where he directed the final review section for financial and performance audits for State agencies and the Arizona university and community college system. During his tenure with the State of Arizona, he directed human resource and personnel activities for a 200 member staff. Mr. Allred earned a B.S. in accounting from Brigham Young University.
